Sarti Sithonia Halkidiki
Sarti is located at the end of the second leg of Chalkidiki, Sithonia and is a summer tourist haven.
It is a seaside village with less than 1000 residents, and the population is growing at the summer period since the area attracts thousands of visitors, Greeks and foreigners.
Sarti Beach has been awarded with Blue Flag as one of the top ten beaches in Greece, a beach with golden sand and turquoise waters, ideal for swimming and sunbathing.
A three kilometers beach encompassing a village which in the summer months is transformed into a big city, as thousands of visitors, both foreign and domestic, flock to enjoy the deep blue sea with the deep green of the surrounding mountains.
Famous beaches are Kavourotrypes and Orange beach, a few miles outside of Sarti towards Vourvourou, immediately after the municipal camping Platanitsi.
In the old village survive a few of the old refugee houses of Afisiotes, who began arriving in the region since 1922. The great fair, on the 15th of August, the walk by the river and a visit to the dependency are things that should not be missed.
